I am the proud owner of two cats, Pancake and Jem. One of the most difficult aspects of transitioning from the relatively easy-going life as a suburban teenager to an independent student in a city full of strangers was departing from my two lifelines. At the moment, I am not able to bring my cats to Boston due to housing circumstances, which has led to an insatiable desire to follow any stray cat I see in Boston. I realize and fully acknowledge that this deep rooted attachment I feel should be controlled, and it has gotten much better to be quite frank with you.
I really love cats, as you may be able to tell, and I believe that every animal should have a home and a loving relationship with someone. That is what inspired me to do this project. I go around animal shelters in Boston and take photographs of cats and dogs that are currently up for adoption. I think that this is just an additional resource for these animals to be one step closer to a loving owner.
